Emily Farr, MA

Clinical Experience

Emily Farr received her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University in July 2025. Before entering the mental health field, she gained extensive experience in business and leadership as the owner of Quench Juicery on the South Shore where she managed a team of 20 employees and developed nutritious, low-inflammation recipes. Her professional background also includes high-level executive support roles that strengthened her communication, organization, and confidentiality skills - qualities she now brings to her work as a therapist.

Emily’s empathetic and nonjudgmental nature is reflected in her volunteer work with organizations such as South Shore Hospital’s Critical Care Unit and Compassionate Care ALS experiences that deepened her commitment to helping others. She also served as a clinician at the Lyme and PANS Treatment Center, supporting individuals with neuropsychiatric symptoms related to Lyme disease, PANS, and P ANDAS. Outside of work, Emily enjoys running, hiking, yoga, cooking healthy recipes, reading, and spending time with her husband and four sons.

Clinical Approach

Emily Farr is a compassionate therapist with a passion for supporting children and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, transgender and identity issues, and marriage and relationship challenges. She has obtained specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard treatment for obsessive-compulsive disorder, and integrates this evidence-based approach with care and sensitivity. Emily’s calm, supportive presence empowers clients to engage in the often-challenging therapeutic process at a pace that feels manageable and respectful of their needs.

Grounded in a person-centered approach, Emily values empathy, collaboration, and authenticity in her work. She integrates mindfulness practices with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients build awareness, challenge unhelpful patterns, and foster emotional growth. Recognizing that each person is unique, she tailors her approach to meet individual goals and strengths, helping clients cultivate resilience, self-compassion, and meaningful change in their lives.
