Mackenzie specializes in helping individuals navigate symptoms of anxiety and depression, challenges within relationships, grief/loss, and serious illness. Mackenzie is passionate about supporting people through the various challenges of life, and aims to create a space of curiosity and exploration for all clients through inclusive, affirming care.
She takes a strengths-based approach to therapy and strives to elevate your unique strengths as tools for healing and growth. Mackenzie integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solutions-Focused Therapy (SFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, and trauma-informed practices into her work in pursuit of creating a personalized and supportive therapeutic relationship. She is a relational therapist who believes in meeting you where you're at in your journey. In sessions with Mackenzie can expect a welcoming space that helps you move through challenges and towards the life you desire.
Clinical Experience
Mackenzie received her Master's in Social Work with a concentration in Children, Youth, and Families from Boston University. She has extensive experience working with individuals who are navigating relationship changes, anxiety/stress-management, life transitions, identity development, and the impacts of serious illness.
Mackenzie has specific expertise in psychosocial oncology practice, including clinical topics of anxiety, depression, chronic illness, grief and end-of-life care. She has over five years of experience providing support to adults coping with cancer diagnoses and treatment at Boston’s Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Additionally, Mackenzie has counseling experience supporting individuals with substance use histories through her work with Project ASSERT at Boston Medical Center.
In her free time, you’ll find Mackenzie running around training for half marathons, walking her yellow lab, or searching for the best clam chowder in Massachusetts.
